Fullbean Recipes - 16 Bean Soup


Ingredients
2 cups of dried 16 bean package
4 T baco bits
3 T texturized vegetable protein (TVP)
1 T crushed red peppers
1 ½ oz Hondashi soup base
2 T Miso soup paste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Directions
Empty beans into 4 cups of water
Heat water to boiling
Reduce heat to low boil
In another pot, combine 2 cups of water with the Hondashi powder and bring to boil
Lower the heat and then add Miso paste to the liquid
Add baco bits, TVP, salt, pepper and crushed red peppers
Drain the water from the bean pot, rince beans and return to pot
Add liquid from soup base to the bean pot
Heat to a low boil then cover pot and reduce heat to maintain low boil
Cook until the beans are soft, adding water as necessary
