The drone that I currently fly more than any other is the DJI Mini 2

At 249 grams, it weighs less than the 250 gram threshold at which it requires an FAA license.

The DJI Mini 2 does not have a stand-alone controller. Instead, you connect it to a smart phone and display the images and data on that device.
Though I could use my iPhone X as the display monitor, I opted for an 9^th generation iPad with its larger display.

By default, the software for controlling the DJI Mini 2 is the DJI Fly app.

Observations on DJI Go Fly Software

I opted for a third-party software program, Dronelink. I purchased the Elite Package, a one time expense of $99.99.
